Seiko
QR-350 Semi-Automatic card recorder using four columns on
a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly clock card.
This
machine can be programmed to move across the columns of the card at
pre-set times of a day to enable ease of employee use. If out of
sequence registrations are required a simple push button override
allows records to be placed in the correct column. This is associated
with a Tardy symbol printed adjacent to the time record
if the recorded time takes place during expected working periods.
The
Seiko QR-350 also enables four types of printing in terms of the
printed times being either in 24 hour format or 12 by 12 hours with
AM/PM notation signalled as an underlined hour number. A larger print
font can be set if the abbreviated day or date is suppressed that
normal would be set at a right angle against the time record. Regular
minutes or alternative 100ths of an hour can be printed adjacent to
the hour type with the large back-lite display also optionally
harmonised with the printing.
Automatic
feed and eject of the time cards function with this machine together
with optional setting of the end of day time change plus automatic
Daylight Saving Time adjustments and perpetual calendar until year
2098. Time memory backup is provided with a 5-year PCB battery
support. An optional full use battery pack is also available with
easy use plug-in connector.
The
standard card illustrated below is one of a number of variants
suitable for use on differing period bases with another weekly card
available as four columns for registrations and the remaining two
columns realigned to provide basic and overtime notations. |

Seiko
Model QR-375 consecutive printing calculating recorder
provides two columns for printing In and Out transaction with a third
column giving the total time elapsed between these registrations and
a fourth column giving a running total of the entire period up the
last transaction.
The
Seiko QR-375 makes provision for calculations on the basis of
divided hours being "Rounded off" to the nearest increment
set by management. (i.e. quarter hours.) These increments can be
based upon the clock face divisions (say quarters) or on total time worked.
Up
to two different daily schedule may be programmed according to a
user's requirements typically Monday to Thursday as a common schedule
and Friday slightly different. Each schedule can incorporate two
break periods although no grace allowance can be programmed at
anytime to mitigate slightly adverse registrations.
The
system also contains a special shift arrangement whereby a maximum
amount of time can be set for working whereby employees may attend
beyond the normal day end and by pressing the Out button achieve a
calculation for hours worked. Day ends can be offset to beyond
midnight for the convenience of most shift workers that may work
later than this time.
All
records are printed in single colour with symbols to denote
irregular registrations and settlement periods can be set for weekly,
bi-weekly and monthly periods. The double sided cards associated with
this equipment normally provides sufficient space for a complete
monthly record for each employee but where an occasion arise for
extra clocking capacity in a period a card swap function is
available. This system always prints each registration on a clean
space on the clock card thus eliminating over clocking and
obliteration of records by misuse. |
